The Girls of Morehead are at it Again!

The Girls of Morehead are at it again!

Here is a note from their teacher Suszanne on the art projects they have been working on lately:

“For February, we did our Black Heritage Unit. With this unit, we continued our informative posters and the students loved them, especially when they learned information on people they had NEVER heard about. As we continued our studies, we came across the FREEDOM QUILTS and we were ALL interested in this and decided to make our own quilt from the patterns used. We painted these beautiful quilt pieces and then, students were asked to reflect and tell me why they chose a particular pattern. This was an amazing unit and very impressed with what our students got out of it.

We are currently working on an Autism Awareness project and starting our EARTH DAY project too and this is going to be their most challenging project, but they are excited!”
